At SmartHR, Corporate Social Responsibility is important to us…we are a socially responsible employer actively supporting the local community.
This year, we have been delighted to support the Hyperbaric Chamber with a raffle prize for their Charity Gala fundraising event, and we’re looking forward to sponsoring Sight Matters’ charity quiz night in July 2026.
During 2025 we donated to Isle of Man Foodbank, sponsored Junior Achievement Isle of Man (JAIOM)‘s charity quiz night which raised over £1,800, and donated a raffle/auction prize for JAIOM‘s Christmas Charity Gala fundraising event.
In 2024, we donated raffle prizes to support Victim Support Isle of Man‘s Dress in Yellow Day and their 25th anniversary Wear Yellow and Sparkle fundraising event. We also donated much needed food and toiletries to the Isle of Man Foodbank to support their great work on the Island, and donated a luxury hamper raffle prize to Sight Matters for their Dining in the Dark fundraising event.
Prior to this we have provided sponsorship or donations to:
- Junior Achievement Isle of Man – various raffle prizes, sponsored the Big Christmas Challenge, and Team SmartHR completed JAIOM’s The Big Summer Walk. We set ourselves the goal of walking or running a combined distance of 300km and were extremely proud to achieve a total distance of 730km. We raised £800 and won the Team Fundraising prize!
- Isle of Man Foodbank – donated Xmas toys and various food donations
- Isle of Man Salvation Army – donated Xmas toys
- Victim Support – collectively our team walked 1,113,972 steps and raised £1,100 for this fantastic local charity
- Isle Listen – £500 donation
- Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce – sponsored the Annual Gala Dinner’s table presents for two years
- Manx Breast Cancer Support Group – we sponsored a waiting area at their breast unit
- Selborne Badminton Club – we sponsored the club for four years from 2017 to 2020
- Isle of Man Arts Society – sponsored an arts event
Our team has also volunteered for JAIOM to support the local community and Gail Yeowell, our Managing Director, has judged JAIOM’s Company of the Year Programme for many years. We have also supported delivering Get A Job programmes for JAIOM.
We’re delighted to be able to support these charities and get involved with our Island community, to help them deliver their fantastic services locally.
